Objectives
The main objective of this project is to develop a smart and reliable pet recognition system using RFID technology and a mobile application. By embedding RFID chips in pets and connecting them to a Flutter-based app, the system helps in identifying pets and linking them with their respective owners.
Socio-Economic Benefit
This project promotes animal welfare by reducing the number of lost or unidentified pets through a reliable identification system. It supports pet owners, veterinary clinics, and rescue organizations by making pet data easily accessible and verifiable.
Methodologies
The project follows a structured approach starting with requirement analysis to understand the needs of pet owners and clinics. Then, RFID technology was selected for pet identification, followed by the design and development of a cross-platform mobile app using Flutter and Dart. The app was connected to Firebase for real-time data storage and authentication. Hardware integration was achieved by connecting an RFID reader with the app.
Outcome
The project successfully resulted in a working pet recognition system that allows scanning RFID chips implanted in pets and retrieving their information through a Flutter-based mobile application.
